Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to clarify how algebraic proofs are learned in junior high school, and to make clear the issue for improvement of learning of algebraic proof. For this purpose, I made analysis by the following four viewpoints. First one is the Algebraic proofs in Education Ministry guidelines. Second one is the Algebraic proofs in school textbook. Third one is the students' attainment level about algebraic proofs in scholarship survey. And the last one is the Earlier study about sense of meaning of algebraic proofs. By these analyses, I made clear three issues about learning of algebraic proof as follows. The first is the necessity of development of new educational materials about algebraic proofs. Next is that importance of making improvements about teaching method of constructing algebraic proof. And the last is the necessity of development of teaching method to understand sense of meaning of algebraic proofs.
