Abstract

本稿では,運動時に安定して脈波を計測・提示する装着型脈拍提示デバイスとそれを実現する脈拍検出技術を提案する.ここでは,脈拍数やHBVといった生理指標を脈波信号から算出し,光提示を行う,光電脈波センサおよび腕輪型のデバイスをについて述べる.一般に運動時は,体動アーチファクトの混入や信号の欠落といった課題があり,適切に脈拍を抽出することは難しい.そこで,適応型テンプレートマッチングと線形予測法に基づく,実時間脈拍検出・推定法を提案する.まず,理想的な脈波信号パターンを規範とし,光電脈波センサからの信号に対してテンプレートマッチングを行うとともに,カルマンフィルタを用いた線形予測法および脈拍補完を組み合わせることで,脈拍以外の周期的なノイズの除去と欠落した脈拍の推定を行う.トレッドミルを用いた評価実験で,一定の速度と一定間隔で速度が変わる歩行課題を行った結果,従来手法よりもF値,脈波間隔の検出において提案手法が効果的であることを示した.また,日常生活動作中に,HBVを実時間で算出する可能性を示し,提案するアルゴリズムを実装した装着型機器を用いた遊びの場面を想定した検証実験を実施し,開発したデバイスにより運動中においても頑健に脈拍を抽出し,かつ可視化できることを確認した.

In this study, we investigate a method for heat-beat pulse detection, estimation and visualization by means of a wearable device for community sport. We were developed a bracelet-type device wired to an photoplethysmographic (PPG) sensor. Heartbeat rhythm is visualized by illuminating LEDs based on physiological parameters such as heartbeat rate and HBV (heart beat variability). Practically, it is difficult to separate pulse from noise signals, since the signal is severely corrupted through daily activity due to movement artifacts on the sensing location. We therefore propose a real-time pulse detection and estimation algorithm based on adaptive template matching and linear prediction. The algorithm consists of template matching with ideal PPG pulse for reliability and linear prediction that attenuates the other noise and interpolates missing pulse. In experiments, participants were asked to perform continues and intermittent running on a treadmill to verify the proposed method. F-measure and Bland-Altman plot based results showed that the proposed algorithm is more effective than the traditional method. Additionally, the proposed method has the capability of calculating HBV during activity in real-time; we tested the device with the proposed algorithm in tag game, and it was able to illuminate the heartbeat according to pulsation data in an efficient manner.
