Abstract

障害児教育の目的と本質の変遷とその理論的・実践的な意味を究明するための予備的作業として、その研究の意義と研究方法について検討した。現代の障害者政策の潮流の意義と制約を踏まえたうえで、研究の目的を設定した。研究方法については、時系列と障害カテゴリーの組合せを基本とした。時系列は五つの段階に分けて、障害カテゴリーは聴覚障害と視覚障害を基準とし、対照する基準として知的障害と通常教育を設定し、そのほかにてんかん等の障害と学業不振等、教育の対象者や社会および当事者等を加えることで、障害児教育の目的と本質の理論的・実践的意義を多角的・多元的に究明するうえで、妥当な研究方法であることを述べた。

This paper aims to examine the design and method of the research, as preliminary work for inquiring into the changing views of the purpose and essence of education of children with disabilities closely, and investigating their theoretical and practical implications. The purpose of this research was set up by focusing on the significance and restrictions of the current of a present-day disability policy. The method of research was based on the combination of historical five stages and disability categories. These categories included auditory and/ or visual impairment as a basic standard and intellectual disability and regular education as relative ones. The relative standards were supplemented by epilepsy, backwardness, social demands, people with disabilities, and their parents. It was said that it is an appropriate method of research, and the purpose and essence of education of these children and their theoretical and practical implications could be grasped through the multifaceted and plural analysis of various views of their education.
