Abstract

従来のkHz帯PLC(電力線通信)では, AC100VコンセントのNeutral極とLive極を用いる(N-Lと呼ぶ)ディファレンシャルモード伝送方式を用いているため,受信SNRが劣悪であり,通信不能なコンセントペアの割合が多かった.そこで本稿では, N極とProtective Earth極を用いる新たな信号伝送であるN-PE方式を提案している.筆者らが所属する研究室の壁コンセント(全144ペア)にて,市販されているkHz帯PLCモデムを用いて検証を行ったところ,従来のN-L伝送方式では40%のコンセントペアで通信ができなかった.しかし,提案するN-PE伝送方式では4%であり,大幅に改善されたことが述べられている.また,このモデムによる測定結果と,当該コンセントの伝達特性及びインピーダンス特性の測定結果とを比較し,提案方式の有用性を述べている.

In this paper, a new signal transmission system for Narrow-Band Power-Line Communications (NB-PLC) has been proposed in order to solve the problems of the conventional systems. The serious signal propagation loss was one of the problems for the differential-mode transmission system, which used the Neutral and Live (N-L) conductors. The proposing system does the Neutral and Protective Earth (N-PE) conductors. In order to compare the proposing N-PE transmission system with the N-L system, Packet Error Rate (PER) performances of 144 pairs of wall outlets for AC100V in the authors' laboratory have been measured. Although the 40% outlet pairs could not communicate at all for the N-L system, the ratio was improved to 4% for the proposed system. Moreover, to verify the results of the PER performances, the transfer function and impedance properties of the outlets were measured and the usefulness of the proposal system has been discussed.
