抄録

Improvement of mechanical and biological biocompatibility of Co-Cr-Mo alloy (CCM) is expected to enhance safety for its biomedical applications. The purpose of this study is controlling microstructure of CCM through high-pressure torsion (HPT) to improve its mechanical and biological biocompatibility. Optical microscope images and radial hardness distribution of CCM subjected to HPT indicate that HPT is possible to produces homogeneous nano-scale structure in CCM.
