An experimental study is conducted to obtain basic informations of the collapse mechanism of a composite beam-column subjected to bi-directional bending. Eccentric loadings are applied to total six specimens, where one end of the speciment is subjected to y-directional eccentricity, and the other end to the x-direction. In the case of the short column, the maximum bending moment at the maximum strength lies on one of the member ends, and the maximum strength can be predicted by the full plastic theory. In the case of the long column, the maximum bending moment at the maximum strength lies on the mid span. The maximum strength is predicted as the solution of symmetric bending with initial curvature. Proposed design formula based on the above-mentioned consideration shows a good agreement with experimental results
