Nailed plywood sheathed shear wall with opening and wooden portal frame with plywood sheathed hanging wall were focused in this report. In consequent, followings could be summarized: 1) Plywood sheathed shear wall with window-type opening showed apparent Shear Resistance Factor (SRF) of 5.76 with less scatters in stiffness and strength thus this type of element will be usable as load-resisting element in actual residential houses 2) In 4P-plywood sheathed shear wall with opening failed by local shear buckling with punching out of nails as can be seen as common failure phenomenon in nailed plywood sheathed shear walls. 3) While in case of 4P-portal frame with plywood sheathed hanging wall, its SRF was estimated as 1.08, because its load at 1/120 rad. was extremely low among 4 evaluation factors. Improvement of initial stiffness is the most important research need for this element. 4) For plywood sheathed shear wall with opening, its initial stiffness and yield load could be predicted well by assuming that each plywood panels surrounding opening have the same shear deformation angle. 5) For portal frame with plywood sheathed hanging wall, its initial stiffness and yield load could be predicted well by applying minimum complimentary energy principal and virtual work theory on apparent single story semi-rigid portal frame.
