Abstract
Methods of applying Axial-Shear-Flexure Interaction (ASFI) Model to evaluation of load-displacement relations of reinforced concrete columns with wing walls on both sides are presented. Two approaches are compared: one is based on accumulating divided section model and the other on a monolithic section model. In the first model, the member section is divided into the wall part with the total member depth and the residual column part, and each part is analyzed based using ASFI model and the lateral resistance is calculated as sum of the two parts. In the latter model, the flexural analysis is carried out as a single component based on the ASFI model, while considering compatibility of shear deformations of the wall and the column components to calculated the lateral resistance. Analytical results are compared with experimental data presented in other papers and also with flexural analyses.
