Abstract

In this study, we developed the micro/nano-patterned gelatin sheets to improve cell attachment of human gingival fibroblasts. The micro-and nano-patterned sheets with pattern shape (groove, hole, and pillar) and size (2μm, 1μm, and 0.5μm) were prepared from gelatin solution via nano-imprint method. As a result of cell attachment assay for lh-incubation, the attached cells on patterned-gelatin sheets were larger than those on plane-gelatin sheets. Further, both size and shape of the pattern greatly influenced the degree of extension of the attached cell.
