Abstract

論文(Article)本稿は,X大学Y学部を対象に,入試選抜方法と学業成績・能力向上感の関連を検討した.分析の結果,基本的に各選抜方法のなかで,「一般・センター」で入学した学生のGPAにくらべ,「指定校・公募・AO」「内部推薦」「留学生・社会人・編入」で入学した学生のGPAが低いということはなかった.また,選抜方法によって能力向上感に大きな差もみられないようだ.ただし,GPAと能力向上感にほぼ関連がない.大学教育において,学生の勉学に対する評価がGPAなら,能力向上感と正の関連を示す方が望ましい.なぜGPAと能力向上感が関連しないのかに関しては,今後の大きな検討課題といえよう.This case study investigated the relationship between entrance examinations and academic outcome/development of ability. This paper examines the above claim by using date on graduating survey (Y department at X university). The results show that (1) admitted students by academic performance test is the same academic outcome/development of ability as students by admission on recommendation, (2) although academic outcome is not related to development of ability. The factor might not have been able to measuring development of ability, but that`s because academic outcome is recognized by take attendance.
