Abstract

数学は理系大学生にとって重要であるが,苦手意識を持つ学生は多い.高校までの数学的概念の繋がりをよく理解できていない学生は大学数学で躓いてしまう傾向にある.数学に苦手意識を持つ学生は数学学習に消極的であるという問題がある.数学に苦手意識を持っている大学生が数学的概念の繋がりを覚え成績を向上させることを目的として,学習エージェントとの対話体験によって数学学習を支援するゲームシステム Pedicom (Pedagogical Interactive Communicator) を提案し,コンテンツ事例としてコンピュータ上に CG で表示される学習エージェントと主人公の対話を基調にして進行するノベル形式のゲームを作成した.システムの評価実験において Pedicom を利用したことによる学習効果や情意面にもたらす効果について調査し,本システムの有用性を検証した.The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of the game system as the pedagogical interactive communicator in learning mathematics. Although mathematics plays an important role in everyday life, there are many undergraduate students who are not good at mathematics. The study examined the learning effect and the affective impact of the game system. Participants were three undergraduate students who are not good at mathematics to assess the game system in a simulation of conversation with CG pedagogical agent in a computer-based environment. The results suggested that the game system could play an effective role in learning mathematics and had positive impact on student mathematics' anxiety.
