Abstract

Yamasaki, Sasaki, Uchida, Katsuma, and Matsumoto(2011)developed universal prevention education programs named“TOP SELF(Trial Of Prevention School Education for Life and Friendship).”This article explained about an educational program for the development of understanding and regulating emotions that is one of the comprehensive based education programs in TOP SELF. Moreover, among the programs, it focused on the program for 6th−grade children at elementary school. First, the structure of the hierarchical purposes for this program was introduced. Next, after clarifying the differences in purposes between grades, concrete educational methods were explained for the 6th−grade version in detail, including plans for class guidance and blackboard demonstration, along with the detailed scenarios, for school teachers. Since the programs are implemented over eight classes in total, the educational methods were described for each class.
