- OS1401 Investigation for Piping Strength against Mixed Gas Combustion : High strain rate mechanical properties
抄録
Accumulated gases in the piping of BWRs are stoichiometric hydrogen-oxygen and steam. The detonation of the gas accumulated in the piping of BWRs causes high pressure about 20 times higher than initial pressure. We investigated a method for evaluating the strain of piping subjected to internal detonation by using FEM analysis. This study investigated the relationship between mechanical properties and strain rate on detonation conditions by carrying out the high-speed impact tensile test of the piping material. The specimens were made of carbon steel, low-alloy steel which are used for the piping of BWRs and weld metals. Any case shows high ductility irrespective of a rate of strain and temperature. It was found that yield stress and tensile strength tend to become lower at higher temperature. We obtained the nominal stress-strain relationship by the tensile tests to use it in an FEM analysis.
