- J0910105 Effects of cross-sectional shape in coronal plane on the sound generation of sibilant /s/
抄録
A new simplified vocal tract model of sibilant /s/ considering the airflow in the real vocal tract was constructed to investigate the relationship between the aeroacoustic sound and a turbulent flow generated in the vocal tract. The shape of the new model was designed based on the previous sibilant /s/ model and the cross-sectional shape at five positions in coronal plane was changed to reproduce the velocity distribution in the real vocal tract. The far field sound and the flow velocity at five positions were measured with a microphone and an anemometer respectively. The new model represented both fundamental characteristics of the sound in the frequency range 4 to 20 kHz and the velocity fluctuation at five positons. These results indicated that the velocity fluctuation in the vocal tract is essential to generate sibilant /s/ sound.
