- S0220203 Computational analysis of coil distribution in the cerebral aneurysm
抄録
In this paper, a computational analysis is performed to investigate the effects of reference geometry of the coil and insertion conditions on the coil distribution in cerebral aneurysms by means of a psychically-based coil insertion model. The dynamics of the coil and frictional contact are solved by Galerkin finite element method and the coil is inserted for the idealized geometry of the aneurysm under steady insertion speed. In order to evaluate the effects of reference geometry of the coil on the find distribution, three kinds of reference geometries, namely straight, 2D and 3D, are set in the coil insertion simulation. In the case of straight coil, the distribution is non-uniform and deviation from the aneurysm depends on the insertion position. On the other hand, 2D and 3D coil uniformly distribute in the aneurysm and there is no deviation regardless of the difference in the insertion position. These results are consistent with the clinical finding and indicate the importance of the reference geometry of the coils to give the uniformly distribution in the aneurysm.
