Abstract

The average thickness of the Al/Mg/Al clad strip produced by twin-roll casting was 6.1mm. Clad ratio of the Al/Mg/Al clad strip was produced was 0.19:0.70:0.11. Mixed layer of about 10μm was produced at the junction of the clad strip. Mixed layer was the Mg_<17>Al_<12> and Al_3Mg_2. More of Al3Mg2 were present many mixed layer. There were many more of Al3_Mg2 in the mixed layer.
