- S055023 Influence of Anode Magnetism on Magnetically Driven Arc and Its Reduction Measures
抄録
Magnetically driven arc is a technology of distributing energy of the arc column by high speed oscillation with an imposed alternating magnetic field. This technology has the following advantages: the arc oscillation amplitude can be varied easily by adjusting the imposed magnetic field strength, and the distribution of heat flux density on the anode can be controlled by changing the waveform of the imposed magnetic field. For example, when the waveform of the temporally changing magnetic field is rectangular, then heat flow is concentrated at both ends of the oscillation. Authors have been developing the heat treatment equipment for steel material surface based on this technology. In the present work, the influence of the magnetic characteristic of the anode material on the imposed magnetic field was investigated. Improved heat treatment of the steal surface was successfully realized with a magnetic circuit iron core and a sample cooling system.
