As oil and gas plants become larger, centrifugal compressor producing high pressure gas is needed to enhance the pressure resistance and to enlarge the size. Risk of gas leakage from compressor casing has been increased along with deformation of the casing has been increased by high pressure and enlargement of the compressor. Maintenance capability of horizontally split casing is superior to barrel casing, but sealing performance of the former is inferior to the latter. Leakage-prevention-technique is needed in order to achieve high pressure and enlargement of horizontally split casing. In this study, structural analysis method simulated whole structure and bolted joints of the horizontally split casing was developed, and deformation behavior of the casing under inner pressure was examined. In addition, regression formula for estimating leakage pressure was constructed by using results of the structural analysis, leakage pressure measured by using the actual casing and that estimated by using the regression formula were compared and analyzed.
