Abstract
For estimation of pyrolysis reaction of kraft lignin, lignin prepared from black liquor (KF-1), commercial kraft lignin (KF-2), alkali lignin (AL-1), and bamboo krason lignin (KR-1) were pyrolyzed with a Py-GC/MS system, and major pyrolysis products were identified by MS library, retention time and fragmentation patterns. Pyrolysis mechanisms were elucidated by radical rearrangement refferd from homolysis around with oxygen, which was promoted at the pyrolysis temperature from 400℃ to 500℃. Increasing the temperature to 600℃, the secondary reaction of pyrolysis product began in the methoxy groups on the aromatic ring, which produced phenol and diol compounds. Furthermore, low molecular weight compounds containing sulfer was confirmed in pyrolysis products from KF-1.
