Abstract

視覚刺激に対しては,視覚誘発電位(VEP)の出現と共に,背景脳波活動(後頭部優位律動)が変化し,様々な解析が行われている.我々はこれまでに脳波モデルを用いて,パワースペクトル上のVEPと背景脳波活動の成分を分離する方法を提案してきた.本研究では,実データに対して提案法を適用し,その有効性を検討した.提案法は,背景脳波活動成分とVEP成分が重畳する場合でも両者を分離する有効な手段で,安静時と視覚刺激時の背景脳波活動成分の特徴を解析することが可能である.

Visual evoked potentials (VEPs) are the electrical response which reflects the visual information processing of the brain. In the past, the method for separating VEP component and background EEG activity by use of EEG model has been proposed. In this study, the proposed method was applied to actual recorded VEP data and its effectiveness was evaluated. Usefulness of the proposed method was investigated by comparing the conventional power spectrum averaging method. The proposed method will be applicable to show an accurate VEP analysis and characteristic analysis of background activity under visual stimulus.
