抄録

Deteriorations of rotors and stators in steam turbines cause performance degradations. Through long-time operations, the rotor and stator blades suffer from damages such as erosion, wear and warp. In the present work, a numerical study of the turbine performance degradation due to the blades deterioration was carried out. The blade contours were obtained from a first stage of an intermediate-pressure section of a cross compound four flow (CC4F) steam turbine. Adiabatic stage efficiencies, loss mechanisms, and flow patterns were examined by comparing results for a non-used and a used rotor contours with the same stator contour. In addition, influences of leakage flows through packings at the rotor axis and the rotor blade tip are also examined.
