Abstract

This study aims to clarify Background and Peculiarity of Reform of Teacher Education in Finland. The teacher education at Universities in Finland has been reformed as a part of the Bologna process. By them, how did the teacher education in Finland change? What teacher education is done now? In Finland, since the end of 1970 year, the basic qualification for primary and secondary school teachers in Finland has been Master's degree. Why has such a approach been performed? What is the idea that exists in the background of the teacher education in Finland ? The following two points of the teacher education were especially characterized and clarified in the main discourse through the search to these questions. They were "Pedagogical Thinking Skill" and "Research-based Teacher Education"
