Abstract
In this study, we investigate the difference between 'N + NC' and 'NC + N' in modern Chinese by analyzing the features of their existing environments and examining cognitive features of the two structures in Chinese. We find some evidence that 'N + NC' is frequently used in strengthening the memoryfor Ns and NCLs when both are required information.
