本稿では、韓国の国史教科書の日本像に関する研究結果のレビューから、韓国人の「日本観の原型」を探り、韓国人学生に対する日本イメージ調査の先行研究の結果と合わせて検討した。その結果、1)韓国の国史教科書に現れる日本像の特徴は、「侵略者」「文化後進国」に集約される、2)韓国の学生の抱く日本イメージには、肯定、否定、中立の混在、過去と現在の混在が見られ、アンビバレンスである、3)韓国の学生の日本イメージの否定的な側面と国史教科書に現れる侵略者としての日本像には強い近似性がある、4)韓国の学生の日本イメージの肯定的側面、中立的側面には、現代日本や時間的変化の表れにくい特徴が見られる、の4点が明らかになった。

Images of Japan in Korean history text book found by past researches and Korean students' perspectives on Japan were comparatively considered in this study. Followings are four results emerged from the study. 1) characteristics of images of Japan in Korean text book are mainly classifies into two as "Invader" or "Country that is Culturally inferior to Korea", 2) Korean students' perspectives on Japan are ambivalent; there are mixture of positive, negative, neutral images and past and present image of Japan, 3) Japan's negative images engraved in perspectives of Korean students have a commonality with its image as 'Invader' depicted in Korean history text books. 4) Positive and neutral images of Japan arise either from Japan's modern images or her permanent qualities.
