Abstract

In order to clarify a ground structure of the section where Sabae Fault was crossed, a microtremor array observation was done at five points in the traverse line in east and west in Sabae Basin. A ground model consisted of four soil layers where the S wave velocities were given was considered, and the thickness of each layer was presumed by inverse analysis of the dispersion curve through genetic algorithm. As a result, the point where the seismic bedrock was the deepest was on the west edge, and the depth was about 1,400m. And, a steep slope was guessed in the seismic bedrock in the underground at the vicinity of Sabae Fault. On the other hand, it was suggested that the presumed ground structure of the east side of the fault should be reexamined.
