In this paper, I introduce an experimental class activity that involves ICT- supported language learning. Apple's iPads and some iOS apps play a significant role in this class, especially for pronunciation training, video recording, and digital storytelling. The group activity requires the students to shoot two videos with iPads. For the video recording, they gather some German phrases from the Internet and write a short script on their own. They listen to the pronunciation of the words in the script, which is created by a text-to-speech app (“Speak it!") and check their pronunciation with a speech recognition app such as “Dragon Dictation." Using “Strip Designer," they compile an interesting textbook with pictures. This experiment shows that with iPads and some iOS apps, we can develop a new style of ICT-supported active learning for language classes. Most of the students provide a positive feedback to the instructor.
