抄録

The purpose of the research is to reanalyze the data collected by Suzuki and Baba (2006) to clarify the status quo of the schools for the deaf in Japan. 183 students of 5 schools were asked to answer the questionnaire concerning their disabilities, English education, the use of sign language, etc. They presented the data by simple totaling, therefore, in this research those data were analyzed by X2 test to find out differences among 5 schools. As a result, several features of each school were observed as for the use of sign language, the setting of sign language acquisition, the English skills taught in the classes, the disclosure of the information on their disabilities, etc.
