Abstract

In this paper, possibilities of the “Literature Circle" practice in native language classes were explored. By considering on Japanese Language Arts lessons using the idea of “Literature Circle", by one teacher, we found such lessons had effects to enhance students' appetite for learning and reading abilities. And we also suggested that the “Literature Circle" methodology would be effective to developing students' abilities for “criticizing any texts," then we must adapt “Literature Circle" in Junior High Japanese Language Arts lessons more actively.
