A beta transformation (β-transformation) on [1,2) is a function Mβ : [1,2) → [1, 2) defined Mβ(t) = βt－<special>[</special>βt<special>] </special> + 1, β＞ 1. In this paper we construct a nonrecursive 64-bit pseudorandom number generator SS164rand using Mβ (t) and test the randomness of SS164rand by applying various statistical tests.
