In this paper, we have attempted, through the periodicals published by a Hansen’s disease sanitarium, to consider the lives of Hansen’s disease patients. Some of the historical resources used in this paper include literary works by children published in Moshiogusa, and Kyowakai-ho, which are newsletters published by local government institutions.
