レッセ・フェール経済下で，民間企業主導による工業化を展開しているアジアの国においては，進出日本企業が進出先国で現地企業・外国企業と競争する上で，現地経済社会に対応するための情報が重要な役割を果たすことになる。本稿では，日本企業の香港復帰から香港日本人商工会議所が設立される過程において，戦後香港の3段階における工業化に沿って，経済団体が日本企業が必要とする情報を収集・提供していく過程を検証した。その結果，以下の点が明らかになった。（1）現地経済の発展に応じて，業種別任意団体である「金曜会」，日本人倶楽部経済部，そして香港日本人商工会議所が，日本企業が必要とする情報収集・提供機能を有することである。（2）経済団体は委員会・部会・分科会といった組織整備を行い，日本企業が求める情報入手・提供の変化に対応することができることである。本稿の意義は，在アジア日本人経済団体が日本企業が進出先国で必要とする情報を，収集・共有する機能を有することを明らかにしたことである。 In laissez-faire economies in Asian countries, it is of utmost importance for Japanese companies to get information in order to compete with local as well as foreign companies. This study analyzed the role of economic organizations in providing the information that Japanese companies need by examining the situation in Hong Kong in three stages: (1) at the start of added-profit trade; (2) during its establishment; and (3) during its full-scale development. The results are as follows. (1) At each economic stage, non-profit organizations of the same type of industry, the economic division of the Japanese Club, and the Hong Kong Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry can provide necessary information to member comanies. (2) Japanese economic organizations can provide necessary information to member companies by reforming their organization structure.
