Abstract

The accuracy of phase velocity of Rayleigh waves estimated by the CCA method was inspected by comparing with the SPAC method. Microtremors data in this study was observed at 13 earthquake observation sites in the Chugoku district. As a result, wavelength of Rayleigh waves obtained by the CCA method was longer than that by the SPAC method. Therefore, in case of same radius array, the CCA method could obtain information of deeper underground structure than the SPAC method. However, the analysis result of the CCA method was inferior or equal to the SPAC method in short wavelength ranges. Therefore, the performance of the CCA method may be poor to that of the SPAC method under low signal-to-noise ratio condition
