Abstract

現代の日本で目に見えない力を求めるスピリチュアル・ブームが見られる。その中心には多くの女性たちがいると言われるが、そうした中にはセミナーやグッズを消費するばかりではなく、積極的に参加して自立する女性たちもいる。こうしたニューエイジに関連したグループは、その実践が形式化されず流動的であることと、自分の体験が中心にあることから、女性が自分を肯定する方向へと向けられる可能性を持っている。それゆえに組織の中で認められにくい女性のスピリチュアルな権威の獲得の場となっていることを示す。 It is said that being “spiritual” is a boom in Japan at the moment and there are many women who are presently in the midst of that boom. Those women are not only consumers of spiritual seminars and products, but also positive activists in “spiritual” fields. Within those circles, the fluidity of practice and the centrality of one’s own religious experience work towards liberating women. It is a place of personal redefinition and self- transformation for women.
