Abstract

The authors developed a prefabricated modelexperiment device of deformation in powder foreducational use. In a science class for 6th grade, thestudents showed the deformation concepts such asuplifting of land and/or anticline of beds after modelbeds would be pressed. When the test carried out9 months later the class, the students showed sameresponse for a question about beds deformation.We conclude that conceptual change related tobeds would hardly be made and suppose thatunderstanding of beds deformation will be deepenedwhen an experiment and an open-air study arecombined.
