千葉大学医学部・薬学部の前身にあたる千葉医学専門学校・千葉医科大学時代の留学生の動向や帰国後の活躍について、本紀要2号(2009)、3号(2010)で紹介した。その後も調査研究を継続した結果、戦前期の同校留学生をめぐる新しい史料を複数得ることができた。そこで、それらを紹介するとともに、2号に掲載した留学生名簿を更新し、当時の留学生の実態をより明らかにしようとする。

In earlier issues of this bulletin( No. 2, 2009 and No. 3, 2010) I have introducedthe trends in International Students at former Chiba School of Medicine and ChibaMedical College—the predecessors of the present School of Medicine and Facultyof Pharmaceutical Sciences at Chiba University--as well as their activity after theyreturned to their countries. In the current issue I introduce many unknown materials onInternational Students of medicine and amend the list of names published in No. 2.I hope this will shed new light on how medical students studied and lived in thepre-war period.
