抄録

The level of awareness for visiting nutrition/dietary intervention services was not so high in both the patient( 23%) and staff( 50%) groups and accordingly, the rate of service utilization was also low. However, once being used, the level of satisfaction for services was high in both the patient( 100%) and staff( 71%) groups. On the other hand, there was discrepancy between the patient( 58%) and staff( 82%) groups for the level of awareness for patients suffering from problems with dietary and nutrition. The patients tended to find a heavy burden in receiving dietary services because of“ problems with dietary and nutrition” and“ increased stress”( p<0.02), which might be one of reasons for low rate of service utilization of visiting dietary intervention services. As know from the answer“ unknown principal contacts” responded by some staffs, this study has not revealed to be positive of us, national registered dietitians supporting home-care patients. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that the staffs needed high-level dietary/nutrition intervention by national registered dietitians, while the patients desired to take daily advices for dietary. To provide appropriate nutrition management services in the future, the training and development of visiting national registered dietitians must be an essential challenge.
