抄録

『出雲國風土記』, 嶋根の群加賀の神崎の条には, 当地に存在する洞窟の由来をめぐって, 「佐太の大神」生誕の伝承が記されている。大神生誕の際, 母「枳佐加比〃賣の命」(赤貝の神)が海より流れ着いた「金の弓箭」で洞内を射通し東西北に開口部を持つ現在の形状となった, と。当該伝承は, 本来, より長大な全体像を有していた痕跡が見られ, その原型を想察することが本稿の趣意である。神の子の誕生に矢がかかわる, という点に着目すると, 神が丹塗りの矢に化して女に求婚する, いわゆる「丹塗矢」型伝承が想起される。しかし, 当該伝承において, 矢は, 「丹」でなく「金」と形容され, それは, ……

The Izumo-no-Kuni-Fudoki recorded the tale of Sada-no-Ohokami about the origin of the cave which located at Kaka-no-Kamusaki. This tale is as follows.
