In this paper, the energy absorption performance of the steel bellows as one of the energy absorbing bridge girder connectors is examined for reducing earthquake force of the pierfoundation by means of a non-linear time-history analysis. The effectiveness of the steel bellows on the seismic response is verified using a three-span girder bridge model supported on lead lubber bearings.
