• Personal Networks of married couples in retirement stage : stage

Abstract

This study focuses on the effects of retirement on changes in the roles and relationship formation of husbands and wives, both within and outside the household. This study surveyed married couples, in which the husband's age is between 61 and 68 years and they live in cities, suburbs and villages.A total of 340 and 339 responses were provided by the husbands and wives, respectively. Among them, 335 sets comprised responses from both partners. This study examines the connection between primary variables and personal network variables and addresses basic issues such as (1) the connection between the level of urbanization and the characteristics of residents; (2) the connection among the level of urbanization, attribute variables, socio-economic variables and personal networks and (3) the connection between the personal networks of husbands and wives.
