In recent years, the E-library has been introduced at many libraries. The School of Informatics at Aoyama Gakuin University has been operating an E-library since April 2013, which has been utilized for doing extensive reading assignments. In this study, we investigate the data of usage statistics of extensive reading assignments, which were analyzed during a three-year period. Additionally, the E-library usage patterns of our students are also analyzed. The results showed that the students' usage patterns of the E-library changed according to how the extensive reading assignments were implemented. Furthermore, the students were found to be more inclined to borrow books from the E-book which were easier to search for, for example, viewing of a book's contents on the first page of the content list.
