application/pdf

We have conducted a questionnaire research to elementary, junior and high school teachers regarding views of music teaching. As a result, we revealed following four points; 1) Teachers think school needs music classes, especially in elementary schools. 2) In music classes, teachers consider “enjoying music activity” is the most important factor in music teaching, however the rate decrease as the kinds of school gets higher. 3) Elementary school teachers feel difficulties in “teaching music”. And 4) Younger teachers tend to feel difficulties in “Selecting teaching materials and contents of teaching”. Specialties of elementary school teachers are diverse and this shows some differences from the result of junior and high school teachers.
