抄録

貧困問題を論じる上で河上肇の『貧乏物語』は不可欠の文献であるが，解決策を「道徳論で贅沢を止めよ」としていることで批判を浴びた。しかし，彼の「貧乏線」は現在の貧困問題に繋がる業績でもあった。現在の貧困問題は，絶対的貧困ではないが奨学金返済問題にみられるように，本来若者を支援する制度が逆に将来不安を生じさせるという意味で平成の『貧乏物語』となっている。

“As tory of poverty” by Hajime Kawakami was an indispensable paper, but heavily criticizedfor discussing the issue of poverty through suggesting a solution of “quitting luxury for a theory ofmorality”. However, his “edge of poverty” was an achievement leading to the issue of currentpoverty. The issue of current poverty is not one of absolute poverty, but, as seen in the issue ofstudent loan settlements, originally “a story of poverty” of the Heisei which signifies that a systemto support youth will adversely cause anxiety in the future.
