Abstract

The objective of this study was to clarify the relationship between business scale (sales and employees) and profitability in agricultural corporation management. We compared and analyzed the results of two questionnaire surveys conducted in 2011 and 2016 using cross tabulation. Three trends and relationships were revealed by the analyses. Firstly, it confirmed that the business scale of agricultural corporation management is increasing. Secondly, it revealed that there are differences in expansion of business scale between agricultural and livestock products. Finally, it was clear that profit ratio tends to increase as sales increase.
