2016年7月の参院選後にさいたま市で実施した中学生・高校生・有権者の3調査の結果をもとに、高校生を中心とした若者の政治意識や情報環境を検討する。併せて、子どもから大人へと至る政治的社会化の過程も探索する。若者は、自分の一票にリアリティを持てず、政治への不満や政治家への不信も抱いている。にもかかわらず、高校3年生をはじめとする18、19歳の新有権者たちは、初めての選挙に予想以上の高い投票率で対応した。彼らを投票へと動機付けた要因は何か。In this paper, we examine the political consciousness and socialization environment of young people, especially high school students. At the same time, we also explore the process of political socialization from children to adults. This is based on the results of three surveys targeting junior high school students, high school students, and voters conducted in Saitama City following the elections of the Upper House of the Diet in July 2016. Young people do not believe in their vote, are dissatisfied with politics, and distrust politicians. Despite this, new voters between the ages of 18 and 19 years, including high school third graders, responded to their first election with a voting rate higher than expected.What were the factors that motivated them to vote?
