本研究では、高校生約1,500名を対象に、仲間集団に対する指向性と、仲間関係に関連する学級雰囲気、および仲間関係の良好さや学級適応感に関する調査を行った。収集したデータを分析した結果、離散的な学級雰囲気の強まりが、開放的・親和的な学級雰囲気を損なわせ、仲間関係の良好さや学級適応感を低下させることが示唆された。さらに、「固定的な集団指向」の強まりが離散的な学級雰囲気を強め、離散的な学級雰囲気の強まりが「独占的な親密関係指向」を強め、「独占的な親密関係指向」の強まりが「固定的な集団指向」を強めるという循環的な過程の存在が、女子に関してのみ示唆された。

This study examined the directivity toward the peer group, class climates related to friendship, the state of friendship, and class adaptation on approximately 1,500 high school students. As a result of the analysis, it was found that if a class climate become more discrete, the climate would become less open and familiar, decreasing the state of friendship and class adaptation. Furthermore, the following results were obtained only among female students: A discrete class climate was strengthened by the “directivity toward fixed groups" , and a discrete class climate consequently strengthened the “directivity toward monopolized friendship" . Moreover, the “directivity toward monopolized friendship" strengthened the “directivity toward fixed groups" in turn, implying that such a circulative process may actually exist.
