In this paper, in order to investigate the traits of verval communication of chirldren with Autistim Spectrum Disorders (ASD), we studied 2 experiments from the viewpoint of understanding and using local dialect. In Study 1, 15 children with ASD were asked to translate the meanings of the Kumamoto dialect spoken by native speaker. Results of children with ASD were significantly lower than those of children with typical development. In Study 2, we investigated the use of honorific, Tame-go and dialects of children with ASD. As a result of the experiment, children with ASD showed that the idiosyncratic patterns which change the speaking according to the relationship and the scene.
