- A Study on the Concerns in Carrying out Purpose and Role at School of Professional Development in Education

Abstract
School of professional development in education has a major mission to promote practical research on teaching, student guidance, class management, school management, and teacher education itself through the returning of theory and practice, while the school and education board and university work together. However, not only the efforts of graduate students and teacher educators but also new cultural construction is requested between school and faculty to school of professional development in education, in order to make full use of "research" to reframework "practical experience".In this paper, we pay attention to way of thinking and methodology of self-study in teaching and teacher education since the 1990's under circumstances where accountability to society and responsibility for education are required. It is because these related studies are considered to be helpful in thinking about future school of professional development in education. Through these related studies, the three walls to be overcome made clear as a result of analyzing the task of school of professional development in education.
