Abstract

In recent years, although there is potential demand over migration to farm villages among urban residence, it does not result in realization in many cases in Japan. It is for the reason that, the country and the local government are tackling various programs for urban-rural migration promotion. Based on the interview and the questionnaire survey, this paper targeted Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture to clarify the actual condition and the subject of the I-turn promotion programs by local government. As a result of analysis, although the programs were achieving certain effects, the necessity of examining the method of the effective information dissemination to city residents became clear.
