人口減少が進む地方自治体の問題について学習することを目的として，珠洲市をフィールドとしたPBL型の授業を実施した。各チームで実施されたPBL活動は都市計画やまちづくりに関わる内容であり，活動を進める中で都市計画や交通計画分野の専門知識を自然と学習することができた。遠隔地をフィールドとした場合には現地調査やヒアリングが難しくなるという問題が生じると予想されたので，その一部を解消すべく，アバターによる授業参加を試みた。その結果，アバターをうまく活用すれば実体をもった人間の参加と同等の教育機会を得られることが確認できた。;Suzu city was dealt with in PBL class aiming to study on problems in the shrinking municipality. Activity of each team relates to urban planning and/or urban renovation in the class. They learned technical knowledge of urban planning and traffic planning by themselves. Because it was expected that field survey and hearing survey were difficult if distant area was selected as subject of PBL activities, avatar was tried to join the class to solve the problem partially. As a result, it was confirmed that avatar can supply educational opportunity similar to real human.
