Rights offerings are the same as shareholder allocations in terms of capital increase for existing shareholders, but differ in that the stock acquisition rights are listed and traded on the stock exchange. In this paper, we conducted an empirical analysis of companies that implemented rights offerings and how the stock prices of the companies and the market price of the stock acquisition rights changed after the listing of the stock acquisition rights. As a result, it was found that the stock acquisition rights remained the same regardless of the theoretical price and were subject to money games. As the number of companies that implement rights offerings increases, it seems that it will not be a money gamecentric buying and selling like the current situation, and it can be expected to become one of the leading methods of corporate funding.
